The SIDATA FTP/SFTP storage can be mounted in Windows as a separate network drive, such as Z:. Once mounted, files will be accessible through standard Windows Explorer.
For easy connection to FTP, FTPS, or SFTP storage, we recommend using RaiDrive. It allows you to mount remote storage as a regular drive with a selected letter.

SFTP operates over a secure SSH connection. This option is recommended over regular, unencrypted FTP.
In the connection program, select one of the options:
Windows allows you to add a regular FTP server as a network location, but not as a full-fledged drive with a letter.

Built-in Windows tools don't support SFTP connections and are generally unsuitable for FTPS. This location also doesn't receive a drive letter and may not work correctly with some programs.
Yes. WinSCP supports FTP, FTPS, and SFTP and is suitable for uploading, downloading, and synchronizing files. However, WinSCP does not create a full-fledged network drive letter in Windows Explorer by default.
To connect SFTP as a network drive, you can set:

Yes. In RaiDrive, NetDrive, and similar programs, you can enable automatic drive mounting after the user logs into Windows. The login and password will be saved in the mounting program.
Yes, but the speed depends on the speed of the Internet connection, the size of the files and the selected connection program.
It's not recommended to directly run databases, virtual machines, or applications that constantly modify large numbers of files from an FTP/SFTP drive. For such tasks, it's best to first copy the data to a local drive.
To connect, use the server address, port, username, and password specified in your service settings. For secure data transfer, we recommend selecting the protocol SFTP or FTPS.
